Certificate of Compliance
For all building products which are not regulated through harmonised European standards the German Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) issues national approvals.
The conformity with the approval is documented with the Certificate of Compliance and through marking with the Ü-sign.
Since October 2016 no approvals are issued any more for building products which are regulated through harmonised European standards. Marking with the Ü-sign is no longer permitted for these products.
The existing approvals stay valid and can be uses as constructual-technichal proof.
Private law based Certificates of Surveillance can be issued until to the end of its term.
